Thank you all for your continued flexibility, focus, and incredible work ethic as we move closer to bringing this show to life! It has been so exciting to see everything start to come together. After we finish staging Act II next week, the following weeks will focus on polishing and shaping our full production. As we approach opening, you will notice more full cast calls so we can refine ensemble moments and transitions. We will do our best to keep rehearsals efficient by prioritizing large group scenes at the top of rehearsal, but there will be some downtime, so please bring homework or a quiet activity to stay productive when you are not on stage.
Looking ahead, we will be using a Tech Weekend with calls Saturday 11/8 and Sunday 11/9 from 10am-6pm, which gains us both a focused technical rehearsal and valuable extra rehearsal time the week before for runs and polish. Our goal of this Tech Weekend is to complete a full tech run with full scenic transitions, lights, and costumes Sunday. As a thank you for this extra commitment, and to (hopefully) get some well deserved rest, we will be off Monday 11/10 of Dress Week. Dress rehearsals will then begin with the band on Tuesday 11/11, which is a no school day. Full Tech, Dress, and Show dates are below for reference.
We are so close to seeing all the pieces fall into place, and I hope you are as excited as I am to watch everything we’ve been building come to life!
